Frequently asked questions
-
What is a DAW project template?
The full production session — kicks, bass, melody, FX, automation, master chain — saved as a .als (Ableton), .logicx (Logic Pro), .flp (FL Studio), .cpr (Cubase), .song (Studio One), or .bwproject (Bitwig). Open it, study how it's built, modify it, release your version. -
Where can I download Ableton Live templates?
The Ableton Templates page lists 3,400+ project files for Live 10, 11, and 12 — house, techno, trance, hip hop, big room, and more. Every template ships with the patches and samples bundled inside the .alp/.als so there are no missing-file warnings. -
Are these templates compatible with Logic Pro X?
Yes. The Logic Pro Templates page covers Logic Pro X (10.5+) and current Logic Pro. Each product page lists the minimum Logic version and which third-party plugins are referenced. -
Can I use a DAW template in a commercial release?
Yes. Every template on WMDM ships with a license that covers commercial release on Spotify, Apple Music, Beatport, SoundCloud, and sync placements. You may modify and release the resulting track as your own. You may not resell the template file itself. -
Are there free DAW templates?
Yes. Every DAW templates page has free templates alongside the paid catalog. Sort by price ascending or filter by "Free" to see them. -
How do I open an .als file in Logic Pro (or vice versa)?
You can't — a DAW template is locked to its native DAW. An Ableton .als opens only in Ableton Live, an .flp only in FL Studio. Some producers ship the same project in multiple DAWs as separate purchases. -
Do you have FL Studio templates for trap, future bass, and hip hop?
Yes — the FL Studio Templates page leads on trap, drill, hip hop, and modern future bass / hyperpop. Filter by genre on the page to narrow to your style. New uploads land daily. -
What about Cubase templates for trance and progressive?
Cubase has a strong representation of trance and progressive house templates (much of the genre's classic catalog was produced in Cubase). The Cubase Templates page is filtered by default to those styles — clear the filter to see all genres.
