Updated for 2026. All plugins on the mixer are set and ready to go.
None of these templates should be just used as is. These are settings I use. You may need to adjust certain things to fit your projects. Don't be afraid too. You can always save any plugin as a preset and reload the preset if you go too far.
Includes Updated Mastering Settings. WARNING - Make sure your track's level is at -6db on the master before turning the master FX on. Your chain consists of 3 plugins. I suggest reading up on how Emphasis and Maximus works. Should be minor adjustments on each for your mix.
Remember to check the compressors 'Threshold' on each track. The compressor will not activate till you turn this knob. Adjust the threshold to what you want, use the gain to make up the difference of signal. The rest of the settings should be fine but you can adjust as needed.
I added a drum saturation track. It needs a plugin called Tube Saturation Vintage from Wavearts. It is free to download.
Each group of sounds has a send channel at the end of it. They are all muted. You can route as needed if needed at all. The initial set up is using the drum sat track for all percussion. The bass drum and snare are both FX differently and sit outside this chain.
The bass is now routed to the drums sub master. You can assign it to synths if you are using an 808 and need your bass to sit higher in the spectrum. I have it this way for my sub bass. By sending the bass with the drums, it allows me to isolate the lower freqs easier. But as I said, if you decide to use an 808 for your low end instead of a sub bass or synth bass, route the bass back through your synths.
A routed template with drum sounds. Preset channels are set to mixer tracks and labeled. Color coded and grouped by sounds. FX tracks have preloaded FX set for you. Mixer is fully routed. Mixer separated into 3 groups, drums, synths and vocals. Each section has it's own send. Drums also have a drums saturation track.
You can change the current drum sample that is loaded in the sample channel by clicking the folder on the sample channel and selecting a new sample.
The mixer is preloaded with native FX and routed. You have 1 main bus for a master with 3 sub-masters. These 3 sub-masters are Drums, Synths and Vocals. These 3 sub-masters are routed into the Master Bus. Color coded groups of sounds are routed into the submasters. This gives you full control over your individual sounds plus groups of sounds.
These templates are created so you can open them and go. I see many templates that you cannot even open b/c they use so many plugins that are not native to FL Studio. Meaning they may use plugins you do not have. And if you do get it open, you will spend time deleting all the production just to get space to write your own thing on said template. Our templates are designed to open and go! We are out to make the start of your project much easier starting from scratch.
